Introducing Mungyeong
Another small but beautiful city in North Gyeongsan province Korea, Mungyeong which is only 1 hour away from Andong city.
We came here for the 3rd destination of 2016 Wow Korea Supporters 2nd Trip.
Gurang-ri Rail Bike (구랑리 철로자전거)
Rail bike is one of the most favourite tourist attraction in Korea, as well as what we can visit in Mungyeong. This time, we took the rail bike from Gurang-ri Station.
Beside the Gurang-ri Station, there are some other alternative stations where you can take the rail bike with many choice of courses such as Gaeun Station, Mungyeong Station , and Buljeong Station.
The price is also cheaper than the ones n Gapyeong or Gangcheon, only 25,000 for one rail bike which can take until 4 people.

Mungyeong Saejae Provincial Park (문경새재도립공원)
Mungyeong Saejae Provincial Park is the provincial park opened in 1981 which overlays Mt. Joryeongsan and was famous as the highest and most dangerous mountain pass on the past. In this provincial park, you can see the beauty of natures, trees, mountainous scenery, water stream and waterfall as well as Hyeguksa Temple.
One of the main spot in Mungyeong Saejae is the Museum of Old Roads (Former Mungyeongsaejae Museum) which offers the history of traditional roads and routes in Korea. It is located exactly nearby the entrance of the mountain pass.
The next main spot is the Mungyeong Saejae KBS Drama Studio, which is located a little bit further, about 20 mins walking from the entrance or 5 mins shuttle ride.
As the largest scale studio in the world, Mungyeong Saejae KBS Drama Studio specializes in historical dramas, where there are three palaces and many houses from the Goryeo Period, spread over in 60,000 m2.
