Harry Potter Cafe in Korea

Do you want to experience Harry Potter magic world in the real life? You don’t need to travel far away to UK since you can also expereience it in Seoul, South Korea. This is a Harry Potter themed cafe which bring you to feel the magic world atmosphere while enjoying a cup of coffee. The cafe is called Kings Cross Cafe, located in Hongdae area (5 mins walking from the subway station). The entrance fee is one cup of coffee per person which starts from 5000 won.

This cafe was made really well as you can see the beautiful european style interior design which adapt the Harry Potter’s Hogwarts library and dinning room. You will feel like visiting a cafe in European country for sure! It has so many instagram-able spot where you can take beautiful photos. Here are some of my recommendation.

Even before you enter the cafe, you can take picture on the signature spot of Harry Potter’s scene, the 9 3/4 secret wall. This is a must! Dont forget to fly when you take photo.

The cafe is huge, consist of 3 main floors. First floor is where you can buy coffee and cake, as well as the main spot where you can try Harry Potter’s uniform and take picture with magic hand and fly with magic broom while you can enjoy the coffee in other floors. You can choose to become either gryffindor, slytherin, or hufflepuff student!

[Tips]

The crazy thing is because this cafe is pretty new (newly opened less than 1 months) so you might have to queue to visit this cafe. I queued for 1 hour before I can enter and experience the cafe. The cafe opens at 11.30am during weekday, but people already queue from 10.30am. Crazy! You also need to queue for trying the uniform. 181128KCCH-2493

[HowToGetThere]

Take subway and get off at Hongik University Station (Subway Line 2, Green). Take exit 9 (Walk from around 5 mins from the station).
Go straight until you see SPAO store in intersection, turn right, keep walking straight.
In front of H&M store, across the road and go to the small alley on the right of BERSHKA store
Walk for another 30m and you will see a intersection, take 1 o’clock direction and keep walking for another 150m and you will arrive.

*The cafe is next to ALAND STORE HONGDAE (you can type it in google map or naver map in case the newly opened cafe is still not updated yet).

Adi Nugroho & Donita

Another lovely romantic family story in Korea come from Adi Nugroho and Donita family. This was their first time visit in Korea, they came in the perfect timing, which is the most beautiful week throughout the year, peak autumn time when every place is colorful because of the autumn trees.

This time, Momma had a great time photo session with her heroes, Mas Vaga and Dadut (who just woke up from his important nap).

Uncle Rufus always have an idea how to make a photo session is fun for kids. Now Uncle asked Mas Vaga to jump and play around. One.. Two.. Three.. and Jumppppp..

And now, Mas Vaga had a race with Momma. Who run faster?

Momma lost the race, so Mas Vaga picked a flower and gave it to Momma. Momma please don’t be sad..

Momma also tried Hanbok, Korean traditional clothes and took some beautiful photos as a Korean Princess. Who do you think a suit name for Momma? Donita Kim?

Mas Vaga and Dadut used all their energy for today, so they slept again. This time, Momma and Poppa’s turn to have their post wedding photo session. Nenek helped to take care of the kids, but Nenek took photos first with the magical yellow ginko trees.

Cafe with Best Seoul Autumn View

Autumn in Korea is never dissapointing. It’s very beautiful everywhere since all the trees are changing color, even trees on the street. I have one of my favorit cafe where you can enjoy a cup of coffee while seing amazing view of Seoul City’s autumn scenery from above. The cafe is called Darak Cafe. Here is the view from the cafe.

The cafe seems fully sponsored by Korean government as the price is vey cheap compare to others. The cafe has so many “I Seoul U” campaign.

[HowToGetThere]

Take subway and get off at City Hall Station (line 2, green), take exit 2, walk towards Deoksugung main entrance.
Next to the main entrance of Deoksugung, there is a small road on the left, go inside the road.
In 30 m, you will see a tall building of Seoul City Hall Seosumun Building 1 on your left.
Go inside the building and go to the 13th floor

Sam & Lisa

Autumn in Korea never dissapoint you, it’s very beautiful, especially this year when the leaves turning color earlier. I guess this is the greatest gift from God for this sweet couple, Sam & Lisa, who are going to get married this week. Since the prewedding shoot need to be done earlier, that’s why autumn came earlier as well.

Sam is my christian community leader in campus who always inspires me to grow more spiritually. His love to God is amazing which motivates me to love God as well. I feel so blessed to know him in person, and also being someone to capture their sweetest moment through a prewedding shoot.

Congratulation for Sam and Lisa. Wish you a happilly ever after marriage in Christ.

Seoulism

The Seoul city view is never dissapointing you. Recently I visited a newly opened cafe, called Seoulism which offer you breathtaking Lotte World Tower view from far away. I managed to come on a clear day which very lovely blue sky. The cafe is located 1km away from Jamsil Station where Lotte World Tower is, so you can see the super tall building, which is 550 m tall as the tallest building in South Korea, 5th in the world.

The cafe is located at 5th floor, contains of three main part, inside room, outside room (balcony) and rooftop with the “Seoul” famous sign. The interior design of the cafe is classsic as they put many vintage stuff to decorate the room.

The best part of a cafe is the spot for taking instagramable picture, isn’t it?

Take subway and get off at Jamsil Station (line 2, green), take exit 6, accros the road to get the bus stop. Take bus no 3318 and get off at Songpa Elementary School Bus Stop (송파초등학교). Accross the road and go to your right and the cafe is at the 5th floor of one tall building.
You can take taxi and show this address to the driver.

Princess Moonella

Hi Uncle and Aunty, my name is Princess Moonella. Last week, I went to Korea with family and experienced wearing Korean Traditional Cloth, Hanbok, strolling around Gyeongbokgung Palace while Uncle Rufus took thousands picture of me being very beautiful and cute Korean Princess. Get ready to be overloaded with my cuteness XD

Actually, I already had too many photo session for myself, that’s why this time I take picture with Mommy.

I also picked a pretty daisy and gave it to Mommy when I was having session.

Moonella’s Pink Story in Seoul

Moonella and family came to Seoul for vacation! It’s such a very beautiful day which welcome their journey in Korea. The first episode of Moonella’s vacation in Korea is “Pink Story”. We went to the famous and “kekinian” cafe in Hongdae which all design is pink, Style Nanda Pink Cafe. She was the most excited when she found the small swimming pool inside the cafe and started to play with water. #rufustory captured all the happiness of Moonella’s Pink Story moment through pictures.

Grandma, Uncle, Aunty and Cousin had their great time enjoying the lovely and romantic atmosphere of this cute cafe while uncle Rufus capture the moment beautifuly as well.
