Gyeongbokgung, the biggest King Palace in Seoul not only beautiful during the day, but also has spectacular view at night. The majestic red-green architecture design of Korea King Palace makes perfect combination with the light at night.

Every year, Gyeongbokgung is set to open for late-night admission for some days during July until September in 2017 with schedule as follow.

  • July 16-29, 2017: 19:30-22:00 (Last admission 21:00)
  • August 20-September 2, 2017: 19:30-22:00 (Last admission 21:00)
  • September 17-30, 2017: 19:00-21:30 (Last admission 20:30)

For Koreans, they have to reserve online for the ticket, but foreigners can buy the ticket on the spot by showing the passport or ID card.

When you visit Gyeongbokgung at night, you have to visit also Gyeonghoeru with the amazing view of lake with light.

Bongeunsa Temple

Every year during first week of May, there is always an unique view everywhere in Korea. Do you know what it is? Colorful lantern. As we celebrate Buddha’s birthday on early May, people decorate street and temple with colorful lantern. It’s perfect time if you want to visit temples in Korea sine you will see them more beautiful on early May.

Bongeunsa is one of the biggest temple in Seoul, located in the middle of busy district gangnam, next to COEX Exhibition and Mall.

The best time to visit Bongeunsa starts at 6pm, because you will experience day and night view of the temple with the colorful lanterns which are prettier since they have light at night.

3. Deoksugung (덕수궁)

Deoksugung is also famous for its autumn trees which are combined with the magical stone wall. You can also go to a cafe in 13th floor of the building on the left side of Deoksugung to see the colorful scenery from above (free admission). 4. Naejangsan (내장산)

3 hours ride from Seoul will be more than worthied when you can witness the best, the most beautiful, the most colorful, the super amazing view of autumn season in Naejangsan National Park. Yeongju (영주)

Introducing Yeongju

Yeongju is a city in North Gyeongsan province Korea, (1 hour away from Andong city) which is famous for its Buseoksa Temple

We came here for the 2nd destination of 2016 Wow Korea Supporters 2nd Trip.

Buseoksa Temple

If you like to explore the beauty of temples in Korea, Buseoksa is a perfect destination. Different from other usuall temples, Buseoksa is called “masculine” temple because of its huge size and its beuatiful scenery.

Located 40 mins away from Yeongju city, Buseoksa is also located on the top of hill where you have to walk about 30 mins (1km) to get to the place. But it’s not gonna be hard since you can enjoy the beautiful ginko trees all over the pathway which is turning yellow in October.

Soon you gonna arrive in the main entrance of Buseoksa where you can explore its beauty in many spots.

This temple is called Buseoksa because there is a wide, flat stone which floats above the ground.

  • By BUS, you can take bus from Seoul Central City Terminal to Yeongju (2 hours 20 mins, 15.000 won). From Yeongju Intercity Bus Terminal, across the street and take bus 27 or 55 to Buseoksa (부석사)
  • By TRAIN, you can take train from Cheongyangni Station to Punggi Station (2 hours 20 mins, 18.500 won) and take Bus 27 to Buseoksa Temple.

Injeolmi Rice Cake Making Experience

Injeolmi rice cake is a Korean traditional kinda cake which is a glutinous rice cake coated with soybean powder. We learnt how to make the rice cake, taught by beloved Korean Grandma and Grandpait, and the best part was when we had those delicious injeolmi rice cake.

Korean Traditional Wedding Ceremony

We also experienced the ritual of Korean traditional wedding ceremony which is done by Korean people long time ago (until now for some people) as our friends acted as the Bride, Groom and even Bridesmaids.
